A Higher Power
"Look unto Me"...Isaiah 45:22 by "A Friend" Fletcher, NC Thank God for all the help on line to
stop smoking. This link, A Higher Power, helped me more than anything.
As Manuel Rojas said, "I look on God for the essential strength to stop
smoking." I don't have the strength, and I'm thankful that we don't have
to move in our own strength. We have God's power in us. This is day 111
for me, one day at a time. I typed all the Scriptures given on this
link, read them several times a day, and pray. Both prayer and God's
Word are powerful tools. I would like to add Isaiah 45:22, and Isaiah
26:3 to the list. It helps to put other things aside as much as we can,
and concentrate on God... If we can get our mind on Christ, we will have

Cambridge, Minnesota I just plain could not afford them, so I just quit buying them. Then I had a friend who had Chantix left over so I took that for a couple of months, which helped take away the cravings, but I did start cheating more and more. Then I got sick and they found a large mass on my left kidney, which could have been from years of smoking. I smoked for 38 years, I then started praying to take them away. My first surgery was 9/21/08 I made a promise to God to never pick them up again, he was giving me a second chance and I would never put that ick in my body again and 7 months later I have not cheated at all. It is not easy I think about the stupid things daily, the devil always has to get his digs in everyday. Keep praying and it will go away. God Bless
