Acupuncture: Endorphines are the Way

My husband and i went to canada and received laser accupunture. It works. We have not smoked since march 17th. (today's date is june 27.) the statement "you must be ready", is so true. We initally went one year ago, because my daughter would walk around with her shirt covering her nose and mouth when we would smoke!! So we went. it worked at that time, but I was unaware of the emotional difficulty i would have. I cried for 2 days, because my cigarettes were right in front of me and i had no desire to smoke. It was very emotionally traumatizing. I ended up being angry at my daughter and having those "this is your fault" feelings of anger. So, after 5 weeks, i started smoking again, and vowed that when i was ready i would go back. It took almost a full year to get fed up. We went back march 17th and haven't smoked since. I've wanted to, but it's too easy not to. Remember once you start the nicotine has the power. The name of the company is Alpha Lifestyles Laser Accupunture. It is in Windsor. Treatment was described as follows: (although I am not a professional, you really should contact them.) It is the same as needle accuputure, only the laser can penetrate deeper, therefore releasing more endorphins than regular needle accupunture. an endorphine "rush" basically is generated over the next 24 hrs. and slowly over the next 3-4 weeks the endorphins mellow out. during which time the nicotine is able to leave your body. You can go back after 4 wks. and get a booster. (highly recommended.) the endorphins basically erase the pathway that the act of smoking causes in your brain, and as long as you don't recreate that pathway (smoke) your struggle will definatly be easier.
