Cold Turkey: 1 Year's Better than Nothing

Cold Turkey is the way to go for me. Picking a target date maybe
2-weeks or so out and then sticking to this allows you to
prepare for the withdraw you will feel. I found that replacing
smoking (an addictive activity) and replacing it with another
activity (working out) was a good move. This helps speed the
toxins out of your system (lots of water) and gets you on another
addiction that will help you live longer and feel great. I was
good for 2 and 1/2 years and recently relapsed this summer.
NEVER JUST HAVE ONE! THE TOBACCO COMPANIES MUST HAVE ENGINEERED
A CHEMICAL TO GET YOU BACK ON AFTER JUST ONE. My new date is the
end of this Labor Day. I hope I can stay off forever now.
There are no guarantees. Just keep in mind that not smoking for
1-year is better than never stopping.
