Exerciseby Rachel Houston, TX I quit smoking for 18 months by taking up exercise:
specifically running. Running was the best for me, because I found that
I could not both smoke and run regularly. I began running first, and
eliminated cigarettes when I began running more, smoking less. It is a
great stress releiver when you feel the urge and anxiety for a
cigarette, and also a good reminder when you have smoked and can feel
the difference when running. by Tausif Ali Leesburg, VA I am proud to say that I have stopped smoking 10 days ago now. This is my third time stopping. Reason I dont say quitting is because I am afraid I will be a joke if I start again so its best to say that I have stopped though it is smiliar to quit. How I stopped. Well..I just stopped after smoking since 1991 upto 10 days ago. I started exercising and caring for my self and smoking had to be thrown out since it does not fit in the equation. Each day in and out I breathe Oxygen like anything and not inhaling the 15 Million chemicals cigerrates offer. I went cold turkey. No patches...no one needs it...I used to smoke Marlboro Lights for 14 yrs and a year ago switched to Ultra Lights..Really crappy....but at least it does not have fiber glass as Lights does..Then 3 weeks ago I moved to Carlton...Ukh....Couldnt inhale cuz nothing was coming out....Well, had to stop as it was the best time...I broke all the cigerrates and they are still in the front passenger foot area in my Camry. works for me. I look at it and I cuss at it....I am eating more but am exercising as well. Ciao now.. |
