Get Support: Quit Just for Today

Attended quit4life class which uses the American Lung Association
program. Having a group of people, who are all smokers or
exsmokers is big help. Each week we would share our trials and
what we did to not smoke. They teach how to not smoke!
The most important thing I learned was that I was only going to
quit for the day. You can't do anything about tomorrow or
yesterday. Just worry about today! My thought was "I'm just going
to quit for today. I'll worry about quiting tomorrow, tomorrow,
if I want to"
I quit on February 22, 2001. I started taking welbutrin the day I
quit. I am still taking two 150mg per day. The cost is surely
less than what I spent for cigarettes. After this month I'm
going to wean myself back to one per day and try to stop taking
them by September 2002. It's such a joy to not smoke!!! I don't
want to take any chances.
