Gradual Smoking Reduction: Ultrasound Picture
by Jennifer
Akron, Ohio
United States
I have been a smoker for about 8 years. I smoked approx. 1 1/2
to 2 packs a day. I have tried to quit in the past and found that
I can not do the "cold turkey" thing, I always give back in. I
allow my husband's smoking to be a crutch in my contuining to
smoke.
I am now presently pregnant and tring to quit. I had cut myself
down to 10 a day to begin with. I now have an ultrasound picture
of my baby posted on my computer at work and one on the door of
my house so that when I have the urge for a cigarette I look at
that photo and postpone that particular smoke break.
I also try the sucker, candy, or gum thing. That helps sometimes.
My true test will be next week when my family goes on a family
vacation for Thanksgiving. It's a 19 hour drive!!
I am taking things one urge at a time.
Anyone having advise for me please let me know. baj313@yahoo.com
