I hope this works for you, I've recently quit smoking, and my
method is to get all the gross-you-out facts about what smoking
does to the body. When you get an urge, pull out a picture of
black lungs, etc.
Create for yourself a mission statement, goals, rewards for your
goals attained (no cigarettes!), and write down what you hope to
gain from all of it.
No matter which way you look at it, you'll be a winner every
time!! Even if
that means to keep on trying!! Also, do it for you, not for
anybody else. I like to look at things this way:
"I am the only one who will keep my own company 100% of the time,
why bother to please somebody who only keep my company some of
the time?" They don't have to be here 24-7, but I do! Most
people can't resist advice, or nagging emotional support.
I'll take things-that-are-cheaper-than
free-because-everyone-is-trying-to-give them-away for $100 Alex!!
